Day 12 Whole30

Good day to you all!

Yesterday the menu was like this:

B: Banana, as I had to run out early and then go food shopping

L: Ham, romaine lettuce, cucumber, sweet potato and 2 boiled eggs (I’d under boiled them so had to nuke them for a bit, they came out a bit rubbery n not that nice – but I still ate them!)

D: mince with grated carrot, onion and passata, boiled potatoes and broccoli

The last 2 nights I haven’t snacked at all after dinner. (as in nuts and apple) I kinda wanted to, probably from habit, but I didn’t need to. So I forced myself not to. Little Victories.

Just a little rant about daily life: I live opposite a school and it seems as though no matter what time I come home, people are picking kids up or dropping them off. I always avoid coming back after 2.00pm and before 3.30pm anyway, but now the last few days I’ve got home at around 11.25 ish and 12.30ish and my street is chocka and I can’t flaming pack anywhere. Reallllllly annoying!! On the plus side, when my little one starts school I wont have far to go!

Haha

Have a good day xx

Day 4

hello,

Today is day 4 of my Whole30! I’m feeling better already and less bloated.

Food today is:

B: leftovers of boiled potato, carrot, broccoli, gammon and a side of scrambled eggs. Black tea.

L: Lettuce, celery, cucumber, seeds, tin of tuna, spring onion and olives.

S: apple with walnuts and almonds.

D: sautéed cabbage with baked potato and a handful of gammon

I haven’t used any salt on my food so far this week, only whilst cooking, as I was eating too much and was having it on everything!

I didn’t drink enough water yesterday though I probably had close to 2 litres.

At least I didn’t have to weigh myself this morning!

One thing I need to find a substitution for is potato. I’m eating too much.

Potato potato I love potato!

So……..I recently started a business. I make and design personalised mugs!! So far I have sold a couple, I’m busy designing and getting my etsy shop up and running.

It’s a tough slog and a lot harder than I thought and the competition on eBay is ridiculous,  I honestly don’t know how some of them make a profit!!

So if you’d like a little peruse this Is my etsy shop here and this is my Facebook page here!

I’m running a facebook competition at the moment to win a mug (UK only though I’m afraid) but if you order through my etsy shop, I am offering a 15% discount off a £15 spend,  using coupon code BIG15 exclusive to this blog!!

I hope you like my mugs!!!

Have a good day, and let me know what you are all doing diet wise/lifestyle wise xxx

Big woops

Hello,

Err big woops, I have not posted for a looooong time!

What have I been doing? Who knows haha!!

Well, I have been eating healthily on and off. I keep losing and regaining the same 7 pounds, which wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t need to lose another 30lbs!

I have not done dukan for a while, or strictly paleo or low carb. Or the perfect health diet. There are too many diets.

They are all kind of similar really (don’t scream) as they focus on good whole real food, which is the most important message to get out there I think.

My daily diet is trying to eat as healthily as possible, getting good fats, trying not eat too many carbs, and staying away from sugar wheat and dairy,

I did go through a bit of a binge lately and was eating kit kats like there was no tomorrow. I could not stop myself. I was craving sugar and salt and just couldn’t stop eating to be honest. Food was on my mind constantly.

Now, I don’t know what’s changed, I seem to get these binge urges once a month LOL, but sometimes when I set my mind to something I can snap out of it.

OK  –  don’t kill me! I’ve started the WHOLE30.

HAHAHA

I think I’ve done more diets than anyone! And I’m still fat…..there must be a reason behind all of this…..

Ok, so I know whole30 is a lifestyle diet (we seem to have lost the meaning of the word diet) but it kicks out all the crap and will hopefully put me on the right path.

I am on day three and am doing ok so far. I know I have definitely eaten too much potato (sweet & normal) but I can’t think of anything else to eat with each meal.

The good thing about this is that you’re not allowed to weigh yourself for the whole 30 days. Bit of a relief really. (I still weigh 71k booo)

My food diary looks something like this:

Breakfast: sautéed cabbage with scrambled egg and leftover sweet potato (see, I don’t always eat all of it!)

Lunch: tuna with salad, spring onion, err new potatoes,

Snack: apple with some almonds and walnuts

Dinner: cauliflower rice with onion and tomato and bacon.

So, wish me luck (for the hundredth time….)

Speak soon!! Watch this space for more……………..blogs coming up!!

Day 3

Good morning.

So day 3 was yesterday, it went pretty well.

Breakfast: spinach, 2 scrambled eggs, 3 slices of bacon, 1 slice of wheat free toast and a cup of tea with almond milk.

Lunch: 2 oranges and an apple (I wasn’t very hungry but was going out soon and knew I’d get caught out if I didn’t eat)

Dinner: had a bag of chip shop chips, small, with salt and vinegar. A bit naughty but it was that or nothing and I really didn’t want nothing lol. I resisted the batter covered fish, but I’m guessing the chips are fried in the same oil.

I took my mum to Broadstairs train station that afternoon as the Orient Express was stopping there so the passengers could get off for oysters and champagne, and there was a brass band playing. There were quite a few people there to watch. It was a really nice atmosphere and felt really exciting for some reason! I bet all the passengers felt really special as they were all dressed up and walking around with their delicate champagne glassses.

That evening about 9 I was really hungry again so had 2 slices of toast. One with a chicken slice and the other with hazelnut butter – and yes, I tried it- strawberries.

I’ve got a cold so I couldn’t taste much to be honest.

I did notice that a few hours after the chips my skin was very irritated and itchy. I won’t  be having chips again in a hurry- unless they’re homemade.

So that was my day, about 1200 kcals though I had to guess the chips dinner calories.

It was very hazy and polluted here in the UK yesterday and I did notice it as my asthma was playing up. I also seem to have a cough. If you analysed my diet and symptoms now you might say – eating no sugar wheat or dairy is really bad for you haha!!

I feel much less bloated and healthier already so I know it’s all good.

Keep up the good work everyone

Xx
